Leviticus One / Psalms One

Leviticus 1

1 - 17 The Burnt Offering

The book of Leviticus is basically a priest's manual. The burnt offering is the only sacrifice that was entirely consumed on the altar. We must remember Christ who was sacrificed for our sins.

Psalms 1

The Two Ways

Either a person avoids the path of sinners and meditates (prays) on the law (word) or God and is blessed (happy). 3. They are like trees planted by streams of water which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.

or . . .

A person is wicked - (. . . ) the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

It's funny how, since we studied Romans 1 the other night, everything I read seems to go back to that. (Even Leviticus 1 made me think of it).
